We’re looking for someone who exhibits:

  • Commitment to growth: it’s not enough for us to “keep up with the industry,” we are determined to flourish through constant growth.
  • Helpfulness: We are helpers, both within our team and with our clients. We jump at the opportunity to facilitate change, boost momentum, and lend our expertise. That is our priority - we do not turn people away.

Content Developer/Editor & Communication Consultant

Detail-oriented project managers with a strong writing or journalism background, an eagle eye for grammar and style, out-of-this-world organizational skills, and an ability to juggle multiple projects at once.

  • This position is responsible for partnering with clients to create all-inclusive communication strategies and determine communication deliverables.
  • Our goal is to turn complex information into easy-to-digest audience-focused communications. Oftentimes this means meeting with a client and better understanding needs, providing suggestions on which deliverables will be most impactful, and building out a plan for target send dates, review and approval timelines, etc.
  • We are lifelong learners at heart – even if material is out of our professional understanding, we proactively educate ourselves to be more informed. To produce quality deliverables, we are committed to asking a lot of questions and pushing clients to think from the customer or audience point of view.
  • We understand that sometimes clients might want to default to what they’ve always done. We encourage them to think of things in different ways. In addition to recommending improvements to communications, we may also identify potential process improvements or ways to be more effective or efficient.
  • The content developer and communications strategy consultant plays a big role in drafting content via multiple mediums including email, blogs, websites, infographics, videos, and more. They will also partner with, and personally manage, graphic designers, email programmers, and other vendors to complete communications.
  • Lastly, they will usher communications through the review process across departments, collecting feedback and adjusting each communication prior to gaining approval and delivering the communication on time.
  • Overall, our content developer and communications strategy consultants work closely with the client to help them discover and understand customer needs. This partnership is highly important to ensuring the client receives cost-efficient and customer-friendly solutions from Craft Impact.

Large-scale projects often include an audit of the client’s overall communications strategy and an inventory of existing communication deliverables. Following this, the content developer and communications strategy consultant will need to offer actionable recommendations to streamline deliverables and improve communications for user experience and consistency in alignment with business goals.

The key is having an eye for user experience—understanding we don’t want to overwhelm customers with too many communications, but determining the best strategy to encourage action or to get someone to digest information.

Depending on the sensitivity or urgency of the request, we remain flexible in our timelines to best serve the client. Sometimes this means shifting priorities in order to deliver on time

The person in this role will wear multiple hats – some days working as an editor, making sure communications have the appropriate style and voice.  Other days this role holder will act as a content developer, writing or designing compelling deliverables. They will also work as a project manager, coordinating timelines and expectations.

We work as a team, asking each other questions and jumping in to assist on each other’s tasks. We try to create processes so communications can be funneled through reviews, approvals ,and deployments as quickly as possible.
